Curious?

Me Too..

To the Dreamy Guy from Leon, Mexico

So when I was at the Night Market with Katie I ran into this extremely attractive guy. He was about to eat scorpion, since I had eaten it before I told him it was not bad! He was with 2 other girls from England and an American guy; they are in china studying Chinese. Lol we started talking about the things we ate and what was good. Then I asked where he was from, he said he was from Leon, Mexico. I got so excited, I told him my brother was there. I thought it was very interesting because this guy did not look Mexican, he had blond hair and had an Irish accent. He probably thought I was so cheesy to ask for a picture with me, but he did it. Michelle said " I have been in china to long to think he is hot" lol!
F.Y.I: His Picture does not even do him justice, he was not even smiling. All that matters is that I know what he looks like in person and he was dang cute!!! lol

Bungee Jumping

So you wont believe me since I deleted my proof but I went bungee jumping the last day I was in Beijing. Chris and I drove up to this beautiful gorge and took a boat ride and he watched me bungee jump. He actually recorded it on my camera and then the first person I went to show the video to I accidentally deleted it. Bungee jumping was so not as scary as I had hoped it to be. Once I got to the top where I was to jump they strapped my feet in tight and put me on the edge. He put my arms up and gave me a little nudge off. I didn’t even have time to be scared. Everyone in the canyon could heare me when I went off the edge, I screamed bloody murder. It was so fun. Once I was done bouncing a boat came to where I was hanging upside down and held up a stick that I grabbed so they could pull me into the boat.
LOL it makes me laugh that they did not tell me how to bungee jump or any rules they just pushed me off the edge! Lol China is so crazy; they don’t have any regulations for things like this. Don’t worry mom it was safe, Chris did it the week before and didn’t die!

(This was the dragon escalators we had to take to the top of the dam. The silly escalators weren't even turned on tell AFTER we walked up the last step. Convenient!)

We rode toboggans down instead of walking, at the bottom was a big courtyard with pigeon. I found some bread I had been caring around with me all week and feed it to the birds. Chris told me I could get the bird flu by feeding them, but he tells me this after the fact. GREAT!

Fabulous

This is Katie and i being amazing!

Random Rides

The great thing about china is that you can find random fun things to do all over the place. By the Night Market was this sling shot ride. Katie and i could not stop laughing afterwards it was so funny.

Duck.. Duck.. Goose!

One night I went I went to Dinner with Chris's little sister and mom. Katie, his little sister, is a senior and we were instant friends. We had a great time together. We ate dinner at a famous roasted duck place. Beijing is famous for their roasted duck, I can’t see why though. I tried everything that was on the table, I’m so brave! The web part of the feet is nasty and jellyfish has the worse texture. Sea cucumber was not too bad, but elbow is horrible. When you eat Duck you but some weird sauce on it then rap it up in a thin tortilla thing, I did not enjoy the sauce. I heard the sauce takes time getting use to.

Several days me and chris walked around looking for the Underground City. We were always in the totally wrong part of Beijing. His parent wanted to go so we went with them. l This web site is all about the Underground city. I took a picture in the tunnal and then got yelled at for doing so. EXCITING

Skateboarding in Beijing

After seeing the Wall we went toTiananmen Square and saw some monument and took pictures.
Across the street was the Forbidden City and we walked around there for a while. The Forbidden City was not what I expected; it was huge inside with so much to see. (Im eating ice cream if your wondering!)

(The entrance to the Forbidden City)
After walking through the Forbidden City we were starving. So we were walking trying to get a cab and nobody would pick us up, I guess my beauty scared them, they just couldn’t handle it! So we just ate at some place that didn’t speak a lick of English and neither Chris nor I know Chinese. Ordering was pretty interesting; we ordered the only thing I could say which is Dumplings! Chris insisted on just pointed so something on the menu and so I did that too, and we ended up getting some of the nastiest noodle I have ever had in my life. For all I know they might not even be noodles! We then walked to the Night Market where I tried scorpion. Small scorpions aren’t that bad, its just thinking about what you are eating that gets to ya. We walked by a Cathedral where all these guys were skateboarding and Chris insisted on me borrowing a guy’s skateboard and make a fool of myself trying to ride it. So I did exactly that, but as long as I was having fun that’s all that matters!

When we were walking around a man was selling coconut milk drinks and it looked cool! Coconut milk is not my favorite drink, especially warm but it came in a awesome cup!

The Great Wall of China

Thursday 12th - Tuesday16th I was in Beijing! I stayed with the Seller family, they were so amazing for taking me in and letting me staying in there home, I could never repay all that they have done for me! They have 3 boys at home and they where all just so fun to hang out with and talk to.
(Josh, me, Brandon and the youngest is Ben)
While I was in Beijing Chris, a friend of the Sellers, was my tour guide around town. He was such a good sport!
(we are cheesy!)
Friday morning we went to the Great Wall, it was so COOL! I picked the perfect day, it was Beautiful weather. The sky tram took us from the bottom of the mountain to the top where the wall was. We walked around for about an hour or so tell I got tired. It was simply an incredible thing to see, the wall just goes as far as you can see.
(That is Mongolia behind me)

Once I was ready to leave we took toboggans back down to the bottom. You get going pretty fast, then the guards yell at you but we just ignore them!
At the bottom I bartered for a t-shirt that said, “I Climbed the Great Wall” and took pictures with some Chinese guys all dressed up as warriors, it was exciting!
